Karen’s Kitchen, at the time of writing, is a five month old charming, spring-themed restaurant on San Rafael Street in Kapitolyo, Pasig. It is owned by Ms. Karen Young, whose red velvet and chocolate ganache are two of the most sought after cakes in Metro Manila. Karen’s Kitchen, which started as a pastry shop at Petron Dasmariñas (Makati) in 2004, has gone a long way since then. Like the small pastry shop at Petron Dasma, Karen’s Kitchen the restaurant has surely caught the heart of many for bajillion delightful reasons.
Last Thursday night, I met up with my college besties, Eden and Praise, at Karen’s Kitchen. What was expected as a regular catching up session turned out to be a well-documented mini talk show of sorts. Praise has just started to do vlogging on YouTube. So as staunch supporters of whatever it is she fancies to dip her toes into, we gamely surrendered to whatever pleased Her Majesty.
The vlog was published last night. Praise, who moonlights as voice talent, did an awesome job. And I’m sharing it with you right here, right now — 10 Reasons Why We Love Karen’s Kitchen in Kapitolyo Pasig!
“Kitchens are made for long talks and close friends, loving families and lots of laughter.
Kitchens are made for daydreams and growing things, quiet times and creative moments, for sharing and preparing the blessing of life.”
