On a day like today so sunshine-y and bright, I long to be someplace else. Under the shade of trees, by the beach, a book in one hand and a glass of mojito in the other. The best place to be right at this very moment is in a pocket of bliss that I and many others call Lilom.
How could you not love this tiny resort by the beachfront? Rustic and homey, it’s like going home to your own beach haven. Your front yard is a marine sanctuary, home to two resident turtles or pawikan, Nemos and Dorys, corals, and other fishes you opt to enjoy looking more than naming.
Life is pretty simple under the shade of trees. Eat. Sleep. Swim. Repeat.
In stillness, you have all the time to ponder how splendid life has been. Grateful beyond words for the life that you are blessed with, for all the laughter and tears– tears of sorrow, tears of joy, tears brought by your raging hormones.
Under the shade of trees, in a single unabated breath you declare
This is the Life!
What could get better than this?
