Thaihouse The Riverfront Ayutthaya

Planning a trip to Thailand? Swinging by Ayutthaya? Looking for a budget accommodation? Thaihouse The Riverfront Ayutthaya is the absolute best place to stay!

I relied on Agoda for the choices of accommodation the last time I traveled to Thailand. While there are a number of other places to stay in Ayutthaya this bed and breakfast is the perfect match to my requirements, which are as follows:

  • low-cost
  • unlimited wi-fi access
  • clean and modern toilet and bath
  • safe riverside location that’s not far from the center
  • traditional Thai house
  • size is just right to accommodate few guests

I took the slow train from Hua Lamphong or Bangkok Train Station. I rode a tuktuk from the Ayutthaya Train Station to Thaihouse The Riverfront Ayutthaya. I had a hard time explaining to the driver how to get to this place, I had no map to show only the complete address. We asked a police officer for directions, problem solved.

Biking around Ayutthaya in the days that followed made me realize that the place was  actually very easy to find. Simply tell the driver to take  U-Thong Road. On your right you will pass by Ayutthaya Hospital, then about 300 meters after you will see Somdet Phra Sri Nakharin Park. Thaihouse The Riverfront Ayutthaya is right across Wat Jao Prap of Somdet Phra Sri Nakharin Park. To be sure that you are on the right track, on your left you will pass by store after store lined with transparent plastic bags that contain  cotton candy-colored Thai-style candy floss called Roti Saimai.

Thaihouse The Riverfront Ayutthaya is facing the Chao Praya River. The entrance on U-Thong road is the back side of the house. Learn more about my wonderful experience in this place by reading my review on Agoda.
