Throwback Thursday: Hakone in July

Now that the Japanese government has loosened its visa policies to Filipino tourists, it’s high time that you make that dream of gallivanting in the Land of the Rising Sun happen.

One of the places you should include in your itinerary while in Tokyo is a side trip to Hakone.

If your trip falls within mid June to mid July, you’ll surely see  lines of hydrangea’s (ajisai) majestic blooms crowding along the tracks of Hakone Tozan Railway.

Hakone can give you a vista of Mt. Fuji on a clear sunny day.

Take the ropeway and visit Owakudani. Experience the Hakone Sightseeing Cruise around Lake Ashinoko. Don’t miss the Hakone Open-Air Museum.

Be ready to walk a lot for Hakone’s breathtaking scenery is best enjoyed by foot. Walk slow and indulge in every bit of beauty that surrounds you.
